Super Heroes Unite

Brayden, our youngest, turned 3 this past week. Wow, it feels like we were just here celebrating his 2nd birthday. Time truly is flying by. For his birthday we had a nice dinner out and then cake and present opening at home.

This birthday’s theme was definitely centered around superheroes. We gave him a Captain America costume and a Captain America tank set, which I must say is really cool. Where the hell were these toys when I was growing up. Yeah, I know. We also gave him this cool castle set, including a big mechanical dragon. Of course, the first thing he did was to use the Captain America tank to overthrow the castle.

On Saturday we had a small party for him at a local pumpkin patch. The kids had a lot of fun. They had an area for feeding goats and chickens, hayrides, and pumpkins galore. However, the theme was still Super Heroes. Judy made two cakes. A Batman cake and a Captain America cake. Her Batman cake was awesome. I really wish I could say I helped with that, but this was all Judy.

Brayden was so tired by the time we left we did not think he would make it home without falling asleep. However, with presents in the trunk, he found his second wind.

When we arrived home he certainly wouldn’t let us forget that he had gifts to open. This is the first year he has really enjoyed opening gifts on his own. He played with each gift before transitioning to the next. He is a lucky boy! Lots of Super Hero action figures, a cool hot wheels track set, some superhero-themed hot wheels, and a bunch of items to spark creativity which we love. He played until sundown and the following morning Brayden and his brother returned to the toys for round two.

Till next time, True Believers Excelsior!
