Iowa – 37 Eastern Illinois – 7
Great game by the Hawks. Needed domination over a FBS and that is exactly what they did. Familar foe next week. I love rivalry games and I hate ISU. Can’t Wait!
Game Ball(s) – A. Robinison , P O’Meara
Game Jock(s) – N Nielsen, M Hyde
Swing Batter, Batter Swing!
First Baseball Game, is there anything better? Certainly some but not many. The great American pastime just initiated two new members.
Passy Addiction
Houston we have a problem. Brayden is addicted. It is getting worse. He has started hiding spares around the house. Mom and Dad are not looking forward to the sleep deprivation that will come our way when we attempt a
“Passy Intervention“.  Ahh Parenthood!
Imagination
The possibilities are boundless… Our two-year old, Blake, loves to use his imagination. One day he is a doctor using a blanket as a stethoscope asking me to be his nurse as we give daddy (aka the patient) a shot. Or he is creating a ‘zoo’ out of spines of books and placing small stuffed animals in there with ‘food’ to eat. Â
Burnt by “Ready”
Add my name to the list of those, yes you are out there, that have been burnt by the word “Ready” in advertisements. A few weeks ago I finally got around to picking out a 10 year work anniversary gift from a collection of assorted things. They use to give out a Rolex. Ahh, those were the days.
With the plethora of children’s toys currently available, it is amazing what kind of joy a good old empty box will bring to a child’s face. I’m sure other parents have spent plenty of money on a toy only to have their son or daughter more interested in the box than the toy.
The hardest part about camping is…
- not the setup (btw, tent poles suck)
- not the cleanup
Paris, tres beau!
In spring 2009 we made the journey to Paris, France to see Aunt Renee. Blake was elated to get to spend time with his aunt. To this day he talks about his Aunt Renee. Renee and Jerome were gracious hosts.
99.9% of the time this would not be a blog worthy topic for a website. When it’s your first we will give Bray that liberty.
