The possibilities are boundless… Our two-year old, Blake, loves to use his imagination. One day he is a doctor using a blanket as a stethoscope asking me to be his nurse as we give daddy (aka the patient) a shot. Or he is creating a ‘zoo’ out of spines of books and placing small stuffed animals in there with ‘food’ to eat.  One day he created a movie theater (he has never even been to one) and had us buy tickets and then gave us pretend popcorn to eat. Every morning we hear him in his room laughing, talking and playing up a storm. The things he creates amaze us. The other day he found a pair of my socks on the floor. He asked to put them on and proclaimed them “mittens”. Then he went and got some of my flip-flops and deemed them “ice skates”. He then “skated” around the room pretending to slip and fall. When he’d fall he’d stop to make imaginary snow angels. Oh what fun, a two-year old boy using his most powerful toy, his brain, to entertain both him and us for hours on end.
