Happy New Year

Good Riddance 2011. I for one am glad to put 2011 in the rear view mirror. Therefore, I’m not looking back. As for resolutions for 2012, I’ll pass. A resolution always felt like too much of a promise to me. I’ve learned with kids, making promises can be a big mistake so I will not even try to do that here.  How about I just create a list of things I’d like to do in the coming year. If I get them accomplished great, and if not no big thing. My list for 2012:

  • spend more time outside with my kids, does not matter what just more play time
  • try to workout more with my wife, we both enjoy running. Her more than I so why not run together
  • catch up on movies I have missed
  • read at least 5 books
  • add a video gallery to this website. I’m close with this one. Functionally, I have all the pieces ready. I’ve just been lazy about getting through the content.
  • volunteer somehow, somewhere, someway. This one I will make a promise on.
  • jump the entire wake while wake boarding. However, this will require me to actually get out on the lake this year.
  • really try to focus on my to-do lists for both work and home. I have them established. Now I just need to start checking them off.
  • get my focus back at work. I think the recent time off has given me the break I needed. Now is the time to refocus.
  • become more positive, keep things in check, and enjoy life!

Happy New Year Everyone
