The family and I were in the car discussing our recent visit from the ‘Elf on the Shelf‘ and the following conversation took place between our two sons.
3 yr old, “He is not real, he is just pretend”
4 yr old, “(very frustrated) He is too. He is a real life elf sent from Santa, don’t ever say he is not.”
3 yr old, “Okay, I believe you he is real then.”
4 yr old, “And since he is real I sure hope he does not fall, because if he does, Finley (our 1 yr old beagle) is going to eat him alive.”
