I grew up in Iowa so I have seen my share of snow, but my kids have not. Snow in Texas is rare. For the last two years I have been incredibly lucky and so have my kids!
Here today and gone tomorrow, the best kind of snow!

Our newest family member was delivered by Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. His name is Dorothy, a blue Beta Fish. That’s right Dorothy. Blake named him after the pet fish of a certain red fuzzy creature on Sesame Street. I wanted to name him Chum!
We are not sure who likes Santa Claus more, the kids or us. What we do know is that with kids our faith in the Christmas spirit is back.
During my latest work trip to the state of New York I was finally able to make it into New York City. All the other times I had been there my time was always spent on Long Island. I have no complaints about the Island but the city is well, The City.
